🐋 Chumphon Pinnacle
Chumphon Pinnacle is widely regarded as one of the best dive sites around Koh Tao. Located northwest of the island, this underwater granite pinnacle rises from deep water to around 14 meters below the surface.
The site is famous for huge schools of barracuda, trevally and fusiliers. It is also one of the most reliable locations for whale shark sightings during the season.
🦈 Southwest Pinnacle
Southwest Pinnacle is another favorite among experienced divers. The site consists of several granite pinnacles covered in colorful soft corals and teeming with marine life.
Schools of snapper, batfish and barracuda are common, and lucky divers may even encounter whale sharks passing through the area.
⚓ Shark Island
Located south of Koh Tao, Shark Island gets its name from its distinctive shape, which resembles a shark's dorsal fin rising from the sea.
This site offers beautiful coral formations, reef fish, turtles and occasional blacktip reef shark sightings. The diverse underwater landscape makes it a favorite for underwater photographers.
🐠 White Rock
White Rock is one of the most popular dive sites for both training dives and fun diving. The site features large granite boulders, healthy coral gardens and an impressive variety of marine life.
Divers frequently encounter pufferfish, moray eels, triggerfish and barracuda. Night dives at White Rock are particularly popular.
🌴 Japanese Gardens
Located near Koh Nang Yuan, Japanese Gardens is known for its shallow depth and beautiful coral formations.
The calm conditions make it an excellent site for beginners, snorkelers and photographers looking for colorful reef scenes.
🐢 Hin Wong Bay
Hin Wong Bay offers excellent visibility and a mix of rocky formations and coral reefs. Turtles are often spotted here, along with large schools of reef fish.
The site is suitable for divers of all experience levels and provides a relaxed diving experience away from some of the busier locations.
